Meticulous photography

Emily blincoe

This photograph captures my attention because it has a specific way of being organized and the range of colors make it look better. Especially with this photo exact, the range of colors from dark to light add a more organized and neater placement.
The story behind the photo

Today I was in my class getting everything together for the day. Until one of my best fastest student came to see me during first period, I wondered what it could’ve been for since she entered with a digital camera and a big flash. She let me know to pose great and show a big smile so she can take a photo of me, I politely gave her consent to take my photograph. As she did she said it was an assignment for her favorite teacher, I was glad to hear that.

Favorite teacher

My favorite teacher is Ms. Atchley, she’s very welcoming into her class when you first meet her. Since the beginning of the semester, she’s been the same kindhearted person she’s funny and enjoyable to be around. When she teaches English class not only does she have personality but has enthusiasm. Its nice to be in her class, she helps you and hears you out for any missing assignments as well she helps catch up with it.

10 important information about Strobe lights
- Strobes are powerful lights made for controlled photography in a studio or on location
- Theres two types which are monolights and power pack & head systems
- Monolights are easy for beginners because everything is built in one unit
- The studio lights plug into a wall outlet or use battery packs for portability
- Most strobes include a modeling light which stays on continuously so you can preview how shadows will look before snapping the shot
- light stands are needed to position and adjust the height of your lights
- light modifiers like reflectors change the quality and softness of the lighting
- You need a trigger system like a sync cord to fire the strobe when you press the shutter
- Flash power is adjustable, with that allows photographers to control exposure without changing the camera settings
- Learning the right ways to control your lighting is better than buying expensive light equipment
flash worksheet
- You would need to use external flash when your indoors or at night because there won’t be enough natural light to capture the moment
- Yes, you need to meter the light to make sure the exposure is correct
- Flash synchronization means the flash fires at the exact moment the camera shutter is fully open, so the image is properly lit
- ETTL stands for ” Evaluative Through the Lens”, it’s an automatic flash system where the camera measures the light through the lens and adjusts the flash power for correct exposure
- If you do part of the image will appear dark or have visible black bars because the shutter isn’t fully open when the flash comes out
- photographers would bounce the flash and use a diffuser to soften the light, reduce harsh shadows, and to make the photo come out more naturally
- A slave is a secondary flash unit that’s triggered wirelessly by the main flash
- You should adjust the exposure by either changing the flash power, ISO, shutter speed, or aperture and with that try to take a photo again.
